For generations, we’ve been told a sanitized version of history. We were taught that Christianity brought light to the world, that it saved the “savages” and civilized the planet. But let’s keep it real: Christianity wasn’t always about faith—it became a global weapon of control. Entire nations, cultures, and bloodlines were erased under the sword of forced conversion. This blog is for the forgotten voices—the indigenous, the enslaved, the exiled, and the melanated people who were mentally, phy

Faith Ain’t Free: The First and Final Weapon
Before the dust even hit the sand, before the cross was ever carried on bleeding backs, faith was being shaped into a weapon.
Long before Christianity became the global force it is today, it began as a story. A story crafted in the corners of empire, then handed down, rewritten, and restructured to control—not to free. What started in the ancient lands of the Middle East, over time, became the strongest psychological chain the world has ever known. Not because it was spiritual—but because it was profitable.
They didn’t conquer people just with swords. They conquered them with Bibles.
Let’s talk about it.
They used our brains against us. Our desperation, our pain, our need for answers—that’s how they got in. They didn’t even need chains after a while. All they needed was a pulpit. They fed us a God who punished you for asking questions. They gave us preachers who made suffering look holy. They trained people to suffer in silence because they said your reward is in Heaven.
Slaves prayed harder than we ever will. They were beaten, raped, killed—and still they prayed. And what did they get? More chains. More sorrow. Where was this almighty intervention then? We sing, we shout, we speak in tongues, but we ignore the common sense in front of us. We were told to bow our heads when we should have been lifting them.
Somewhere down the line, they figured out faith could make people obedient. It could make the poor pay tithes with their last five dollars. It could make a grandmother let her lights get cut off but still “sow a seed” into the church. It could make a man ignore his child’s hunger while handing his rent money to a prophet promising prosperity.
Faith became a weapon that didn’t need bullets.
To this day, people are still trapped. Not because they’re stupid—but because hope is addictive. And religion—when it’s abused—is one hell of a drug. It’s spiritual warfare. These aren’t just churches anymore; they’re corporations. They’re megachurches with million-dollar ceilings and members struggling to keep food on the table. And it ain’t just Christianity—every major religion has been used like this at some point.
But let me be clear: belief in something bigger isn’t the problem. The problem is when that belief is used to silence, manipulate, and drain people. The problem is when people stop thinking, stop questioning, and stop living—because they’ve been told to “just have faith.”
They turned faith into fear. And then fear into control.
You can’t free a people who’ve been taught that suffering is sacred.
And that’s the truth they won’t tell you on Sunday.
